Healthful Recipes of Casseroles

For now you don’t have to go anywhere to find these healthful recipes, all you have to do is stay put and read. Here are some healthful recipes of casserole for you to learn and enjoy.

Green Bean Casserole: Ingredients are 1½ fresh green beans; it has to be cooked until it becomes crisp tender, 1½ cups of skim milk, 1½ tbsp. of margarine, ½ tsp. of black pepper, 2 cups of toasted bread crumbs, 3 tbsp. of all-purpose flour and 3-4 tbsp of dry ranch dressing mix. Directions : You can start by preheating your oven at 350 degrees F. while you prepare the cream sauce. For the cream sauce, put a small saucepan over low heat and melt in the margarine. Stir the flour in and cook it for two minutes while stirring constantly. By using a whisk stir in next the milk and bring it to boil, do this for another 2 more minutes and constantly stir it with the whisk. The sauce will start to thicken by now and to finish it up stir in the dry ranch dressing mix and the pepper together with it, and then set it aside. After the cream sauce is done, combine in a 1½ qt. casserole dish the green peas and the cream sauce all together and sprinkle the top with bread crumbs. Put it in the oven and bake it 20 -30 minutes uncovered. Makes 4 to 6 servings.

Corn Casserole : The ingredients are ½ cup of grate parmesan cheese, 1 tbsp. of butter, 1 can (15 oz.) of cream-styled corn, 2 beaten eggs and some crumbled crackers. Directions :  Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray Pam to a 9x9 casserole dish. Combine in a separate dish the corn, parmesan cheese and 2 beaten eggs and then pour the mixture into the 9x9 casserole dish and sprinkle it with the crumbled crackers. Place small bits of butter on top and bake 50 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. This will make 4 to 6 servings.

Zucchini and Tuna Casserole : The ingredients are 2 cups sliced zucchini, 1 can of drained 12 oz. tuna, I small onion sliced, 1 chopped carrot, 1 chopped celery stalk, 1 can of 10 oz. cream of celery soup, 1 cup of sour cream, 2 tbsp. of margarine, 2 cups of cooked and drained egg noodles, ½ dry bread crumbs, ½ tsp. of dill and a dash of salt and pepper. Directions : Start by preheating your oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, Blanch the zucchini, carrot, celery and onion all together for 10 minutes and set them aside to drain. Greased a 1 q. casserole dish and put the drained vegetables in it. Fold in the egg noodles and the tuna with it then combine in a separate dish the sour cream, dill, salt, pepper and cream of celery soup. After its done pour the mixture over the casserole and sprinkle the top with bread crumbs. Put dots of margarine on top of the casserole and bake it for 30 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. This will serve 4-6 persons.
